A new year means new places and new experiences. I found the following restaurant/bars late last year and was so charmed by my experiences at them that I thought it only fair to share with you guys…
Mark’s Bar at Hixter
I recently discovered a fantastic bar hidden away just off of Bankside, London. The infamous restaurant Hixter sits atop of Mark’s Bar.
Kitted out with gorgeous leather chesterfield sofas, old cinema chairs surrounding the bar and eclectic London inspired artwork your eyes are in for a treat! Boys, you’re in for a surprise in the bathrooms – take a closer look at the cheeky wallpaper by Tom Oliver!
With gorgeous and affordable cocktails, a great ambience and a beautifully designed decor featuring the odd neon sign by Tracy Emin, Mark’s Bar is a great place to catch up with friends or to go on a first date!
35 New Cavendish
Located in Marylebone between Bond Street and Regent’s Park, 35 New Cavendish is an opulent hideaway. Situated conveniently just a short walk away from Menswear shopping hotspot Chiltern Street. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The décor is opulent without being too garish – chesterfield booths set against exposed brickwork walls and neon signs glitter above animal print wallpaper. If you’re into fine dining, good wine and the occasional cigar, 35 is a must!
I spent a good few hours in here and will most definitely be back for a bite to eat after such a pleasant experience at the bar!
