It”s been a good couple of months since the SPRING CLEAN post, hopefully you’ve begun to de-clutter and joozh up your living space! Below I share some of my latest favourite things to really make a statement in your home, whatever the season.

I’m a firm believer in owning great bedsheets. There’s nothing better than that newly washed and made bed feeling. Well, there is and that’s newly washed quality bedding. I also am intrigued by how people present their beds so differently – some are content with a couple of pillows and a duvet, whilst others have scatter cushions of all sizes and adorn the bed with throws and furs.

Here are a few I highly recommend to get you on your way to a better nights sleep:

The White Company – ‘Brompton’

Recreate that luxury hotel room look in your own bedroom. The Brompton set is my favourite to use – it looks just as good as it feels and washes brilliantly!

John Lewis – ‘Super Cosy Thin Stripe Flannelette’

Because, what is life without a stripe of some kind? I love this contrasting stripe version from John Lewis!

Set the mood, whatever the occasion with these selection of floor and table lamps.

Copper Angled Anglepoise lamp

Copper Lamp

A classic anglepoise table lamp finished in beautiful brushed copper. Looks fantastic when sat on top of a table next to some greenery.

Lee Broom ‘Decanterlamp’Lee Broom 'Decanterlamp'

I adore Broom’s work, I find it both simple and complex at the same time. Simply stunning. I first became aware of his work on a visit to The Old Tom & English in London’s Soho and also the WonderRoom in Selfridges. I highly suggest you take a look at both and also pay his store in Shoreditch a visit. I love the timeless elegance of this decanter style lamp, which would look stunning at home in any room in the house.

Habitat by Alex Dreyer ‘Photographic Floor Lamp’

Add an industrial touch to your home with this bold statement piece inspired by the photography industry.

Time to express yourself. Accessories can really bring a room to life whether that’s through ornaments, art or books. Here is a selection of around the home accessories I am currently lusting after…

The White Company ‘Umberto Vase’

The White Company Umberto Vase

This heavyweight vase is made by glassware specialists LSA from soda lime glass and has beautifully curved edges with a jar-like rim. Mouth-blown and hand-sculpted with wooden tools by skilled artisans in Poland for an authentic, rustic finish, no two vases are ever the same. I love this idea of displaying something unexpected like coral, as shown in the image above.

3 Geometric Concrete shapes by PASINGA

PasingaThese bold modern geometric shapes are individually crafted from concrete.

This concrete sculpture set of three individual solids features a dodecahedron, truncated octahedron and truncated hexahedron and celebrates contemporary minimal design. Place them separately or together on your sideboard, art shelf, nest them with your concrete planters to add an extra geometric edge or use them as unique paperweights or decorative bookend.

I have mentioned the importance of a well fragranced home before. It creates a tranquil atmosphere and depending on the type of fragrance you use also really helps to enhance your mood. Here are a couple of candles that I find work wonderfully all year round.

Tom Daxon ‘Under Milk Wood’

Tom Daxon

With ingredients such as Amber, Warm musks, Sandalwood and Suede this candle creates a subtle, embracing and seductive atmosphere in the home.

The White Company – ‘Symons’ Candle

The White Company 'Symons' CandleI cannot get enough of this beautiful candle. When I first smelt it in the store, I was a little hesitant but after several hours of burning the fragrance really softens and you can smell the essence of white amber, cedar wood and delicate peony. This scent really captures the idea of luxurious living.

Cire Trudon – ‘Balmoral Cut Grass’

Cire Trudon

Add a touch of sophistication to your home and transport yourself to the rolling Glens of the Highlands with this Cire Trudon candle in a hand-blown glass case. Scented with a blend of foliage, cut grass, mint, musk and pine wood; the earthy, rich notes will bring a sense of the great outdoors to city life.
