THE WHITE COMPANY CHRISTMAS PRESS DAY…

#WHITECHRISTMAS ENTRANCE
#WHITECHRISTMAS ENTRANCE

Upon entering The White Company’s #WhiteChristmas press day, I am greeted by couple of lovely guys from @TravellingGinCo offering complimentary Gin cocktails. I opted for the T&G which was a little too moorish but certainly got me in the festive party spirit!

The courtyard was set up with an old wagon showcasing the company’s upcoming limited edition candles. Stand-outs included “Mulled Wine”(Perfect in the build-up to Christmas day) and, wait for it… “Sloe Gin” (I wouldn’t advise dunking it in Tonic water) which is surprisingly mild thanks to the blend of Coriander, Juniper and Plum damson in it. It just works. You’ll be pleased to know the candles come in travel and standard sizes. One for you and one for a friend – maybe.

Moving on through the winter garden, burning quietly in the corner is a section dedicated to Twenty One, The White Company’s birthday scent. To celebrate turning the big 2-1 in September, they have put together an array of fabulous products: A Votive, 2 Wick Candle and Eau de Toilette. Created meticulously by founder Chrissie Rucker, the beautifully considered candle is a juicy-rich fusion of Lemon, Neroli, Grapefruit and laced with Magnolia, Jasmine and Vetivert.

The beautifully packaged Symons St (named after their Flagship store) is back with a vengeance for winter in the form of Travel, Standard, Large double-wick and Extra large candle choices. There is also a room spray and diffuser to choose from.

Under a canopy of emerald greenery, what looks like a shrine to the humble candle twinkles away. Here new limited edition candles are on show – “Town House”, which is a warm, delicate fragrance with notes of Thyme and Tonka Beans. “Country House” is an aromatic scent consisting of Sandalwood, Vetiver, Cedarwood and Amberwood. New additions to the candle range also includes “Fir and Berry”, “English Orchard” and “Wild Blackberry”

Inside, I am met by what can only be described as a spectacular Winter Wonderland. It’s like stepping into your fantasy home on Christmas Eve!

Stars and flowers glitter overhead in an extravagant installation. Underneath, a beautifully presented dining table is laid out with Cakes, Champagne and exquisite flowers by Quince. This is how I like to think I’d present my table if I were to ever go on ‘Come Dine With Me’.

Each collection is laid out as if it were a different room in the house. On the left, we walk into the parlour where plush faux fur throws and aran knit cushions are presented next to pretty Christmas cards and vintage inspired packaged board games. In the back, an enchanted forest with canopy bed and piles of delicately wrapped presents is home to the “The Little Company” range. Cuteness overload!

At the opposite end of the room is the “Boudoir”, dedicated to the stunning women’s Day wear category, bedding and bathroom collections.

The women’s garments are all about luxury: Cashmere, Leather, Silk and Suede. The range is an eclectic mix of statement pieces such as Sheep skin, Shearling, Silk trousers and trusty wardrobe staples such as tank tops, shirts and coat sure to please both Mum and Girlfriend this Christmas!

There were a couple of men’s clothing options too! For one season only The White Company produces a few pieces for their Male customers to enjoy. “Aspen” the men’s fragrance takes centre stage as the main gifting option. Dear Santa, for Christmas I would like this stripe jumper…
