I think it’s pretty safe to say that the late ‘Indian Summer’ that we have been holding out for in the UK must have been and gone…
The night is beginning to stretch that little bit longer with the mornings becoming frequently darker, colder and wetter. With that said, it’s time to invest in some beautiful and practical clothing to battle the elements this winter.
I have had my eye on the ‘Deck Jacket‘ from WHISTLES since I laid eyes on it in the AW15 Look book and took the plunge and treated myself this past weekend. It is beautifully constructed inside and out, taking inspiration from a 1940’s US Navy design. The cut is slightly cropped and quite boxy which I think works wonderfully for a winter jacket.
I teamed it with the camel ‘Rib Front Sweater‘, an Acne white button down shirt, Levi’s 511 Selvedge jeans and a trusty pair of Grenson pebble leather desert boots to complete the look.
Who said dressing practically couldn’t be done stylishly?
