The renowned members-only club that opened its doors in 1995 has welcomed high-flyers, models and celebrities alike and now has its very own lifestyle brand; Soho Home. Available online and exclusively on the fourth floor of Liberty London, now you too can bring a little of the House home.
Drawing on the inspiration of its Houses dotted around the globe, each collection is exquisite as it is practical. From the turn-of-the century style of Soho House New York to the cosy and chic Soho Farmhouse, there is something for every home.
Whilst the price tag on some of the furniture pieces are a little on the steep side, think of these as investment pieces. The design and quality is unparalleled and ultimately worth paying that little bit extra for. However, that being said there are some great entry price points too: the dinnerware and crystal glasses are all accessible and start from as little as £10 each!
When I started planning the move to Brighton to set up home with my boyfriend, of course I wanted to go shopping for new things. However, I wanted those ‘things’ to have character, allure and practicality. So, having been bought a couple of Soho Home goods for Christmas I decided to entrust my credit card to the excitable lady in Liberty who helped us with our long list. Everything that we bought that day I can say, hand on heart I truly love and want to expand my collection for years to come.
I’ve chosen my favourite pieces from the different House collections below, and have included a few shots of the products in action around my home.
The Barcelona collection of furniture, upholstery and textiles includes pieces seen in the club spaces and bedrooms at Soho House Barcelona and others that have been inspired by one-off vintage finds. They have been designed to complement each other, with an eclectic mix of new shapes, bright colours and diverse woven prints that celebrate the spirit of the city.
Soho House Barcelona is set in a striking 18th century building in the historic Duc de Medinaceli square, overlooking Port Vell marina.
The House is set in a grade II listed building in the heart of bustling Berlin, an eclectic mix of luxurious plush furnishings are set against a brutal backdrop of bare concrete walls. Bold colours pop against dusty florals and twinkling chandelier lights all help to make Berlin one of the most intriguing and enjoyable Houses.
The first US House occupies a former warehouse in the Meatpacking District, a stone’s throw from Chelsea Market and the High Line. The six-storey building has a rooftop pool with views of Downtown Manhattan, Spa and plenty of space to eat, drink and enjoy NYC! I love the eclectic mix of furniture in Soho House New York – the old with new, creating something distinctively New York whilst still remaining true to the British charm of Soho House.
Set in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, Soho Farmhouse is a 100-acre escape from city life. Accommodation consists of 40 cabins in different sizes, a four-bedroom cottage and a seven-bedroom farmhouse, while the estate offers an outdoor pool, lakes, horse riding, crazy golf, cycling, tennis, boating, five-a-side football and ice skating in winter. There’s also a Cowshed spa, a florist, several restaurants and bars and, of course, the Soho Home shop to pick up a few home comforts!
SOHO HOME IN MY HOME.
