From a very young age I knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry in some sort of way… That or be an actor! I can remember at age four, asking my mother to save her old magazines and catalogues so that I could cut out the underwear models and dress them up in outfits from the glorious selection of clothes on offer.
I studied Fashion Design at college and went on to work for brands such as French Connection, ALLSAINTS, Selfridges, Harrods and Levi’s. My time at each brand taught me a lot about fabrics, finishes, body shapes and styling. Working as a part time sales assistant progressed into Visual Merchandising and Management.
For the past 10 years I have been working as a Visual Merchandiser and stylist. When starting Boyinbreton.com, I wanted it to be more than just an ‘Outfit of the day’ blog. I aim to inspire, inform and engage with you all on a variety of topics from men’s fashion – to where to grab the best coffee and even how to spruce up the home! My friends have always commented on my style, valued my input and opinions and have encouraged me to start up this blog and share my knowledge and passion with you guys.
Oh, and my love of a Breton stripe also comes from a very early age. My mother says I have “always been drawn to this pattern” whenever she would allow me to dress myself as a child. Some things I guess, you never grow out of…
Proud to say I have worked with the following brands:
DECIEM – The Abnormal Skincare Company
Lyle & Scott
Manière De Voir
Noose & Monkey
Robinson Les Bains
The White Company
